Tilfen Land Appoints Peter Runting as Finance Director

Tilfen Land - the property investment and development company focussed in the Thames Gateway - has announced the appointment of Peter Runting as finance director.
Previously the company’s head of finance, Peter joined Tilfen Land in 2003 as financial controller.
Now a member of the Tilfen Land board and reporting to chief executive Nigel Houston, Peter Runting will guide the company through a further period of growth and build on a significant financial performance that has already seen it grow from having a net asset valuation of £15 million on incorporation in 1999 to a business now worth in excess of £130 million.
Commenting on his appointment, Peter Runting says: “The chance to work closely with the board to take Tilfen Land into the next stage of its growth represents both a rare and exciting opportunity.“
“The company’s achievements over the past seven years have been considerable, but there is a need to build on our successes in high-quality development, carefully considered investment and effective partnership working.“
Tilfen Land’s current portfolio includes the one million sq ft White Hart Triangle (one of the largest business park developments in London), the 67-acre Veridion Park featuring the new Thames Innovation Centre, and Tamesis Point, a riverside development of over 2,000 homes forming part of a new community for Greenwich.
Peter Runting graduated from Bristol Business School and has worked for Nicholson Estates as financial accountant, production finance manager at GlaxoSmithKline’s largest manufacturing site and as a financial controller at Crest Homes. He has also worked as a business analyst to the construction industry in a consultancy capacity.
