TILFEN LAND WIN PRESTIGIOUS WHAT HOUSE? AWARDS FOR SCHOOLHOUSE CONVERSION

Tilfen Land took two trophies for The Woolwich Schoolhouse development in south east London at the prestigious 2005 Daily Telegraph What House? Magazine Awards the Oscars of the house building industry. The company's sympathetic conversion of a Grade II listed Victorian school building won the Bronze Award for Best Interior Layout and the Silver Award in the Best Apartment category.

The Woolwich Schoolhouse development is set in the former Woolwich Polytechnic, a four-storey London Board school with a separate single-storey building dating from the 1890s and Grade II listed. The development provides one, two and three bedroom apartments - together with an affordable housing provision for key workers. The Woolwich Schoolhouse was one of only three developments to win more than one award at the What House Awards.
